    Coyote Pelt Tagging

After shooting a coyote what is the leagal thing to do with it?
I have no use for the pelt or any part of it and I do not have the tools to stetch and clean the flesh.
There are many coyotes in the area I hunt and I noticed that they seem to be impacting the number of deer that are in that area so I would like to take out some if I get the chance and would like to know if the kill needs to be reported and how.
I see in the hunting guide that the pelt needs to be tagged, does that mean that you are also reporting the kill, or that if you use the pelt then and only then do you need to have it taged.

If you want to keep the pelt it needs to be tagged. If you don't want it I'm sure there are enough other people out there that would be willing to take the pelt off your hands. My suggestion is to make contact with them. They can get the pelt tagged. It's a win/win, you get to hunt coyotes, you help keep the coyote population in check, someone who wants the pelts gets them with less effort.
