    Safety training for under 12yrs

I would like to take my daughter out off state to hunt where they have lower age restrictions but still require a certificate. Can I get her to take a class here or does she need to be 12 just to take the class? I don't see why it would matter how old they are when they take the class as long as they pass.

    Thanks ,John

    John,

She can now take the CT course at age 10 just because of this reason (lower age requirements in another states). She will get her certificate and can use it for purchasing another states youth license. She CAN NOT purchase a CT state license until she turns 12.

Thats pretty cool, now I only have to wait 13 months. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep. Just as passingthru63 said. It was 11 but they changed it this year.
