Gas powered boat on electric lake

I'm thinking my answer is self explanatory but just looking to clarify. In the guide some lakes say use of internal combustion engines prohibited, but some say use or possession is prohibited. I'd like to run my gas powered boat in an electric only lake, just using the trolling motor. Is this legal as long as it's not a possession prohibited lake?

I've never had problems with electric only or < 10hp lakes. I usually just raised my outboard so prop is out of water. On windy days, I'd lower the prop into the water, but keep motor at an angle, just for some drag. As long as you don't start up, you should be fine.
