    Ar 6.8 spc for deer?

Anyone here hunt with 6.8 spc for deer? Contiplating if I should buy a new rifle or get a 6.8 spc upper and use the AR instead of sitting in the safe. Any thoughts?

Yup...used the 115gr Federal Fusion round. Took down the deer in less than 40 yds. It works.

It's a hammer on coyotes too!!

Would you shoot 300yrds out for deer? Shot was within 40 yrds or it only ran 40yrds?

Ha ha...good question. The deer was less than 40 yds and ran 40 yds.

I've killed coyotes out to 200+ yds with it. I wouldn't hesitate to take the same shot at a deer.

I've been using the 6.8spc for about 5yrs now with no problems in the AR platform. Running SSA ammunition with 110 Accubonds. Longest shot has only been about 100 yards on deer due to woods hunting but have shot yotes out to 200 as well. Here is this years critter.
