    The Rut

I went with my son opening morning i picked a spot to sit on the ground it was tore up where deer were digging acorns , about 7 am the first shot was echoing across the valley i counted at least 10 shots .
As i sat there i could feel my turn was coming, It was not long i heard a deer grunt a few times i could see movement coming up the hill through some thick brush i had the scope set for if he walked in the opening he stop behind a big tree all i could see was the hind quarter i waited seem like for ever finally he turned and gave me a shot on the shoulder i let a round go out of the had 7mm it did its job the deer dropped . as i was sitting there taking in all what happen another buck walk by me the one i shot was not my largest deer i ever shot.
    Great deer for the frezzer...

Nice job Andy. It's good to see that you are still getting out there and getting it done.
