Anyone attend this? Wondering if it's any better than it's been in recent years?

I used to go every year. At this point I don't plan to go this year. It is a shadow of what it once was. The number of exhibitors is way down. I suspect the event is in a death spiral. Every year the number of exhibitors decreases and fewer people attend so the next year the number of exhibitors decreases some more, etc. I'll miss the pickle guy and Myron's. I can do without the jerky and meat sticks.

Never been, but have heard it's not worth the money spent on the gas to get there. If anyone knows of one worth the trip, I'd be interested.

I used to go every year also, but haven't been there in several years. Same old stuff every time. I still like to go see the big bucks display. Im going to go on Saturday morning, my brother wants to go, he's never been to it.

What happened to the Hartford show, I thought it was always the weekend before Springfield? Haven't heard anything. I used to go before they moved it to the convention center from the expo center. I went to the convention center once, it was way overpriced just to walk in the door, and half an hour later you were ready to go. Too bad.

Springfield show is not worth it anymore. Went last year and it was nothing like it was 5 years ago. Went 5 years ago..and it was nothing like what it was 30 years ago; then it was a show!

From what I understand the Harrisburg show also is not what it was. This year only 2 major personalities, Hank Parker and Jim Shockey, many lesser known there as well but in years past had all the Hunting TV personalities there.

It is in a death spiral. Every year there are fewer attendees and fewer vendors. Every year gets worse. At some point it will fail. Too bad. In the past I booked a few hunts and used always buy junk (seating pads, turkey calls, clothing, etc.) from vendors who no longer run booths. Next year or the year after I plan to check out Harrisburg.

That is what is happening to Hartford. It is a shadow of its former self. Three or four short aisles of booths with a high admission charge and expensive parking. This year they are scheduling it a month later. I doubt that it will make any difference.
