    Thanksgiving first deer

Happy turkey day everyone! Got out this morning with my twelve year old daughter who just recently got her liscence and she scored on a nice 6 pnt. 7:30 he came trotting by with nose to the ground, after showing her the opening that I was going to try and stop him she got ready. He came into the opening and I gave the common baaaah, and before I could say shoot I heard the gun go off. She's been practicing at the range and is very comfortable with the 243 and it showed making a great double lung shot at 60 yards. This was her 5th time out since the beginning of youth season and she's seen 10 deer but this was her first real opportunity! Have a great day everyone!

That's something to be thankful for right there. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day in the woods this morning. I'm sure that will go down as one of your fondest memories together.

Congrats to you and your daughter on her first of many.
