    Nice shooting

I went out into the Cockaponset on the morning of the 3rd and saw nothing.

Of course I see a bunch of squirrels while out for deer on the 15th and 16th. I got sick if seeing no deer and switched to a rifle for squirrel on the 17th and, sure enough, no squirrels! LOL

They are a little funny this year some places are loaded some are not. Most of mine have been in the tops of trees only a few on the ground.

Same thing... No money involved, bragging rights only. Don't have to specifically go out hunting squirrels. Take 'em as they come.

Air rifle/.22/shotgun: 1 point per squirrel
    Crossbow/compound: 2 points per squirrel
Trad bow: 3 points per squirrel

We can keep a running tally going throughout the season and anyone can join in at any time. Competition open until end of the squirrel season in February 2017. Season is open September 1st to 30th and then again from October 15th to December 31st. I'm sure it's safe to assume 2017 will be January 1st to Feb 28, as is normal. Remember the daily bag limit is 8 and 40 for the entire season.

No points awarded for posts that's don't include a picture of the squirrel(s) laying next to the hunting implement used. No points for road kills. Bonus points for anyone who cooks up their squirrel and posts the recipe and pictures here.

Chime in here if you want your name in the list.

Went out on the last day yesterday every squirrel I saw was on the ground somewhat strange since almost all I have gotten this year have been in trees. Unfortunately didn't bag any.
