Three stitches. Doc said could have been a lot worse if knife had gone any deeper. Didn't feel it happen. All of a sudden it was just blood. What's life without some stupidity?

Late season trapping in shorts and a T shirt... This is crazy.

Got a couple 330s set in yesterday. Pulled up a small beaver this morning. 22 lbs wet. Probably 18 dry. Nice prime fur anyways. One more to go to hit the 20 mark.

Pulled up beaver #20 today. 20 to 25 lb two year old. Setting for just a couple days at a time here and there until the season closes at the end of the month. I think I'm the only one in this state still trapping. Beaver fur is still nice and prime. Some busy nights in the fur shed coming up to get everything done.

Congrats on 20. Lots of work.
I have a beaver pond set up right now too. Two nights, nothing. No fresh sign, but there was at least one in the fall. It may have moved on. I'll leave traps until the 31st or until a catch.
I'd like to get closer to the lodge, but once I step off solid ground, the mud sucks me in up to my thigh. I'm 6'6", my thighs are higher than most. lol. No debris at all at the spillway either.

Awesome Brian. Glad to hear Im not the only one. Hopefully you get a nice big one. Probably a bachelor male if there was just the one there.

Pulled up a big'un this morning. #21. Weight 54 lbs wet. So figure 48 lbs dry.

I doubt he's holding 6lbs of water, that would be 3/4 gallon. Nice beaver though.
I need you to come out and clean/organize my shed. I can't even see my floor.

Sure does. That would look great on the wall of my man cave.
