    fisher cages

What size cages are you guys using for fisher? All I have are coon size cages, hoping those are ok, I've heard a big male can back out though.

I've set my 30" x 12" coon cages for fisher but with no success. Lack of sign and lack of population. A couple people I know have caught plenty of fisher in coon cages. Wait for Brian to chime in here. He's caught plenty in various sets.

12x30 is plenty. 1.5 - 3 size footholds work well too. Fisher are not timid at all going to a bait.
Not legal here, but coni's on a leaning tree work great up north.
Any meat bait will work, I've used moles, rabbit, venison, beef, squirrel, mice, beaver and probably a couple others. A guy I know in Salem grinds up opossum just for fisher.
