    Anyone Saltwater Fishing Yet?

Been super busy between work, and putting a new roof and siding on the house myself. Decided to take today off and go for school stripers from shore on the incoming tide. I had a great morning, stopped counting after 12 with a few decent size fish for what it is. Heading out this evening on a buddies boat, can't wait for things to heat up...

Only know about Fishers Island / western R.I. area. Other than schoolies in the rivers it's been pretty slow, Water temps in the Watch Hill/Misquamicut area are still in the mid 40's. Fluking out at Block is showing promise.

Been in lower ct river a few times in the last couple weeks.. Schoolies have been hot in the shallows.. Fog last Saturday was real thick so didn't take a chance leaving the river. Sunday was able to head out to long sand shoal but didn't mark much on the electronics, ended up casting a bit and trolling around up through Essex and back down.. Bunker are in real thick in lower river.. Snagged a bunch

Driving and hunting are a lot alike. Holding that steering wheel and holding that rifle both mean you better be responsible.

Hooks, how do you catch squid? How big are they?
I've caught a few in net on side of boat, just big enough for bait.

we use lights and yo-zuri squid jigs, we were only in 3-5ft of water and you could see them attack the jig they would swim through the lite 50-100 at a time. most had 10-11in. tubes we did have some that were 12-14 good sword bait
