I'd soak it in red fox pee, with maybe ONE drop of essence. Soaking in pure skunk essence will be tooooooo overpowering for K9's. No real need to soak meat in anything IMO. Maybe taint it a few days for winter sets.
Are you new to trapping? What experience do you have so far, catches, etc.? Tell us a little about yourself.

I actually found a piece of squirrel on top of snow that something dug up. Stunk like fox piss really bad!

Yes I am fairly new to trapping (second year). Next year my associates and I are going all out and shipping our furs to NAFA. Previously, I just gave my furs to a taxidermist I know. I mainly trap coon and canines. I am going to try to get more into water trapping. This year I got 15 coon 3 possum 3 squirrels 2 yotes. I shot 3 yotes with my .223 and missed a fox with my .410. Next year I am aiming for 20 coon 10 yotes (trapping and hunting) 10 squirrels a fox and maybe a couple muskrat

What sets did you use for the yotes? How are you getting the squirrels?

I use dirt hole sets for my coyotes. Squirrels I either use live traps or I just shoot them with my .410 or .22

Check the regs. There's no open trapping season in CT for squirrels for fur or meat purposes. Even incidentals are legally supposed to be released if possible or left.

    Congrats on the yotes.

Associates???? You're a new trapper and have associates? Care to explain that? The term usually refers to business. What's going on?

Kind of a story. I got a couple of friends and we are going to put up some fur and sell it.
