hunters willing to pay landowners to hunt on private land!!!????

Is there anyone who knows of private land owners in and around the DANBURY CT area that are willing to allow paying hunters to hunt there land responsibly??

Problem therein lies with receiving funds/ monetary compensation. The landowner is then on the hook for the liability. Go knock on some doors. I get 20 no(s) to 1 yes. It's like being an insurance salesman. Oh, don't wear camo either!
Bowtech invasion. Port sider. Any ride taking less than 20 mins to the tree stand, perfect! Www.scarritt.com nothing quite like a soak in a hot tub after a bone chilling day in the woods.

Also, over on the EnCon thread the Capt posted new rules about guiding etc. Not sure if they apply only to fishing though.

The liability thing would make it hugely non-viable. Especially in Danbury.. where is there a single property large enough and good enough deer habitat to actually support leased hunting??

Anyone thinking about doing this needs to think long and hard and do A LOT of homework.

Leases are not popular in CT, Some farms do it normally to a hunting preserve that carries a couple million dollar insurance policy because they are on the hook for liability if they get a monetary payment. This might also all under the guiding provisions the capt mentioned.

Your best bet .... knock on doors until you get a yes! talk to other local sportsmen, actually make friends with other hunters, offer to do chores for local farmers a couple times a month, scour maps, and wear out boot leather. The majority of people on this forum will not give you information on hunting locations unless you get to know them, and even then they will give it to you FTF, or a PM, or blindfold you and take you hunting and once there let you remove the blind fold.
