Lightbulb ALL AR-15 guns, parts, etc... & Magazines > 10 Rounds Not Allowed For Sale Here

We are in the process of removing all "Assault Weapon" related Classified ads, pursuant the ridiculous law that was signed by Dan "The Dictator" @ 12:15 PM today, 4/4/2013.

These items can no longer be sold in the state of CT and this forum will not permit these items to be made for sale, pursuant to these new laws.

    • AR-15 components, lowers, uppers, etc. for sale. Just can't have them here anymore. All considered "parts" to assemble an Assault Weapon.
    • Anything that now qualifies as an Assault Weapon under new CT state law.
    • Any magazine over 10 round capacity.
    • Any firearms that has a fixed or removable magazine with capacity over 10 rounds (aka, like my Springfield XDm 9mm. Stock 19 round magazine. no longer legal for sale in CT).

None of us are happy about this, but the law is what it is, and we will comply on CTHS.

For now, they are staying and OK. They are not included under the law. An AR-15 is technically chambered in 5.56/.223

The magazines however still have to be 10 rounds or less, as that portion of the law is ALL magazines, not centerfire oriented.

Could we sell a handgun designed around a "large capacity magazine" without said magazine? Example: could we sell a glock 19 with no magazine or with a 10 round magazine included?

    Just looking for clarification thanks!

That's a damn good question. That's going to be a question for the DESPP unfortunately, as that goes way beyond my confidence in interpretation. For now, CTHS will stay on the side of caution.

Technically, if it had only a 10 round magazine with it, it would be fine.

Thanks possum, it is my understanding that new fire arms such as a glock 19 would be legal so long as the came with compliant magazines, similar to what they have in MA, you can still buy a glock 19 but it comes with a MA compliant magazine

It passed The House @ 3:30 AM this morning. Dan Malloy signed it into law at 12:15 PM today.

I got a wfsb update this morning that said that the house had passed it as well.

Driving and hunting are a lot alike. Holding that steering wheel and holding that rifle both mean you better be responsible.
