View Full Version : It's been slow until today

It's been a slow season thus far for me. Only had the dog out twice with no luck
I picked up 7 all small with 2 old ones.

But today I had a chance to hit it hard. heres a picture from my cell. not good pic but there are 2 good sized sheds one has a 10 inch tine.

all sheds found today are from the same side.

That makes 12 for the year still slow season

A slow season is better than no season at all.

I have been out probably 4 different times so far but have not been successful yet but, I am thinking positive.

Steve thats a nice mess of bone for a slow day ,i have yet to go out my back has been killing me i still hope to get out a few times my dog has been chewing the crap out the antlers i have been giving her maybe she will find a few in the woods if i can get her out..

What is wierd is they are all right sides! Maybe you need a left handed dog to find the other side Steve.

Nice find. Back in Dec. I shot a deer that had already lost one side and when I grabbed the other antler to move him around it fell off in my hand. But I haven't found any dropes yet this year.

So which tag did you use Buck or anterless tag?

The lady at the check in station gave me a choice either or. I don't know if she was supposed to or not I don't ask questions I don't need the answer to. Any way I had 3 antler-less tags left so I used one of them. ( This was in Mass.) I would have had to use my last buck tag if I used it on that deer.

Funny looking at the picture of the sheads.They all seem to be right side!
All the one's I have found have been right side.It would be great if someone
can find a set.I'm still looking for mine!
