recently obtained a gammo pellet rifle for plinking & varmint control. the groups @ 100 feet are amazing.
i am amazed at the accuracy & velocity from an AIR RIFLE!
1200fps from a one-cock pellet gun!
the squirels & chipmunks will be doing less damage to the homestead now.....plus a little something to pass the time.
wish for a hand gun version for the damn gulls that steal bait from my cutting board while at sea.............cheers,,,,,,,cap'n mick
I heard some great reviews on the Gammo its a great plinker and a great tool for keeping control on the chip n Dales* ;D ;D

well while my truck is in the chevy dealer for some re-call glow plug replacement the tech breaks a bolt requiring the removal of the whole head to properly fix. while lifting the CPU he discovers that rodents have all but chewed through the wires to the unit. all require splicing @$85 per hour. well while waiting days for my truck so i can get back to work the gammo air rifle has been busy... 15 wire chewing chipmunks with a couple tree-rats for good measure. no end in sight, they just keep coming..........maybe i'll get a cat mk

We have the same problem with those critters at work. I work as a maintenance man in a camp for kids and there are a couple of dozen buildings. They get in and chew everything. We were shooting them but the son of our new boss is a bonafide animal lover so they told us to stop shooting them. Then we started with a have a heart trap and the S.O.B. would go around and let them go. We told the boss we did not want to hear about rodent damage any more that they could just have at it. Then the squirrels chewed holes in the brand new vinal siding that was just put on one one of the buildings. It was repaired and they did it again. Sider said he would not fix it until the problem was solved. They lied to him and said it was taken care of but it hasn't been yet.

About six years ago we had a customer call and ask us to tow his car in and get it running. He had left it in his barn for 2 weeks while he was in Florida on vacation.
We towed it in and opened the hood and the whole dam engine compartment as well as the air cleaner housing was full of dog food.
The owner had bought 50lbs of dog food and put it in a plastic barrel in the barn before he went away. He had taken the dogs into a boarder while he was away. It seems chipmunks had gotten into the barn and transferred the dog food into the engine compartment. They had also made a nice little nest from hay and insulation they had gathered in the barn.
Squirrels and chipmunks can certainly do some damage to your vehicles.
Them damm things are everywhere. I have shot at least 20 confirmed kills in the last week.and everymorning there are 5-10 at the bird feeders .Keep shooting

in the week my truck has been in the shop i whacked 26 little chippies. all of them seem to disappear overnight from the carcass pile..... i think i may be keeping a larger preditor type pest nearby with chippy snacks..... my baby chicks are growing in a secure cage..... i hope the preditor isn't just waiting for them to be put in the poultry pen... :hang:

Sounds like it might almost be time to trade the air rifle in for a 22mag and some night vision.
Chipmunks are cheaper bait then the chickens. Make a pile and sit for awhile at night. Its the 4th of July weekend no one will realize it aint fireworks when you pull the trigger. :winkle:
