We have been walking for sheds lately. probaly walked 15 to 18 miles according to the GPS. While I think that the woods are fairly clean, there is one item that we found lots of.
That item can not be blamed for being there by anyone other than hunters.

It is shotgun casings. I have found close to 50 in just the past few weeks.

When out shed hunting, or doing anything in the woods, bring a bag and pick up a little garbage. Every little bit that we can do to keep our areas open and clean will provide less "ammo" for the animal rights activists when they try and fight their cause.

Oh, and if you are the one taking the shot, pick up you casings, shotgun or riffle!
THANKS.

In the excitement of the shot, a shell can be easily forgotten. Doesn't make it right but understandable. I pick up all of mine mostly so nobody knows where I'm hunting :icon_cool:

I've been shed hunting a lot myself this year with the puppy, almost daily. Many trips are to properties not open to hunting and I still haven't found one ... While a friend of mine has found three sheds, one heavy eight point, on stateland that gets plenty of pressure?
