Hey guys, is this bolt action rifle any good? i see a combo price that fits my budget but don't want junk. Also leaning toward 30.06 but might go 270. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have no idea what a 783 is. I picked up a used 270 pump action(I'm a lefty) after talking to a bunch of serious hunters. Dropped a deer in its tracks this year. Very powerful, ammo readily available. Good luck. Oh, you'll need some private land too in ct.

I have one in 243 and it's a tack driver with Remington core lokts. Lots of plastic, but they shoot well.

Thanks, guys. Anyone else know about this rifle?

I found that if the stock is a sectioned off and not solid on rifles they tend to vibrate more so I would fill in the voids with high dense foam to reduce vibration
