I might be able to get my hands on a bushmaster XM15-E2S. price is a little steep (1300) but guns is in very nice shape and nearly no rounds out of it. 16" barrel, hard case , 1 30 rnd mag. sling. unfortunately it has a fixed carry handle, but i have had one before with a handle and didnt mind the high mount scope. what are your thoughts fellas?

Stick with a flat top unless you want open sites only. The mounts for the carry handle always seem to loosen up. jmo

I agree with white devil, it sounds like you'd be best suited with a flattop. I'd say buy yourself a stripped lower and build yourself a rifle that best suits your needs.

It is a little pricey, you might also consider getting the .22 conversion kit using the fixed carry handle with that .22 bolt and get yourself a flat top upper for .223/5.56.

Unless your heart is set on a Bushmaster, try JoJo's. In the last few weeks they have had Stags for about $1100, with and without the handle.

You can pick up a Stag at Newington Gun Exchange for far less. Model 3's go for high $800's, Model 2's for about $950, Model 1's for about $1050. The real selling point for Stag; if it ever needs service or you have a question/problem you can literally go to the factory on John Downey Dr in New Britain and get taken care of. I prefer Newington b/c they offer awesome service. If you go just look for a big guy with a high & tight named Tommy, he's a good guy.
